![]() ![]() ![]() This urban legend could really screw with the minds of younger players, which in of itself is unnerving. ![]() It baffles me that the alleged curse that is associated with Tails Doll have actually fooled some people to the point where they literally question the reality of Sonic R itself. I’ve never heard of such a thing as far s locomotion control before. Being as the rod or antenna with the red gem on it controls his movements, I find that trait rather interesting. I’m not sure if Buttnik intended to give the robot creepiness by crudely stitching him together (considering all his other creations are practically shiny and elaborate works of art), however, the fact that he has but two disturbing transformations involving lots of teeth and whatnot is positively… Well, disturbing. Also, if he floats, how is that fair if it’s a foot-race? Of course, Buttnik isn’t exactly known for being fair but still. Even if this… tiny monstrosity were created as a rival to race Sonic on foot, again, why Tails? How would it put Sonic off his guard? Is it that this little bot looks like his best friend? That’s it’s creepy af? Both? Other reasons? All of the above? I feel like in my research, this was not explained. Both Tails and Knuckles (and a whole slew of other characters) received proper Metal versions of themselves so Tails doesn’t need a creepy looking robotic doll to act as his metallic doppleganger. Since I’m not interested in creepypastas (even if I find Sonic.exe interesting), I’ve never read the Tails Doll creepypasta so depending on my analysis, that’ll either change to gather further information or if it’s not needed, it likely won’t.Īlready I find Tails Doll very redundant - even if he is comparable to Tails in the same light that Metal Sonic is to Sonic himself. ![]() I am not especially concerned about the whole “Can You Feel The Sunshine?” being reversed thing as I typically have an odd fondness for (most) songs being reversed, but that has yet to be decided assuredly. Tails Doll seems harmless enough but with the added creepypasta to him, he could definitely seem unsettling, as any doll strangely would (though, in terms of horror, nothing beats Sonic.exe or Fleetway, I’m sorry - although, Tails Doll fanart has been pretty convincingly terrifying in comparison to Sonic.exe). Why this character? What is its purpose? Why was Tails the inspiration of its design? Why does his design take after a doll? Why is there a rod atop his head? So many questions and I still haven’t answered them so now is the best time to do so. When I discovered that he was an unlockable character in Sonic R, I was puzzled. Normally I do but this is the first character I’ve “reviewed” who I know very little about (and until I learn more about, it’ll probably be the last). I actually don’t have any particular thoughts on Tails Doll, ironically. This may not be the most elaborate review-type blog ever but I’ll give it a shot. Earlier this month I gave my thoughts on Sonic.exe and I felt it was fitting for the beginning of October, but since u/engiSonic mentioned I should do Tails Doll next (I know you said n a week or two so sorry it’s late, dude!), I figured it’d be also fitting to do him on Halloween. ![]()
